MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. DRUNKENNESS. Two first offenders for drunkenness were each lined 10s, in default twentyfour hours’ imprisonment. REMANDED. Alexander Black, forty-two years of age. charged with indecent assault on a child of nine years of age, was remanded till Wednesday. JUVENILE COURT. A youth, for riding on the footpath, was admonished and discharged. Another youth, for the same offence, was ordered to pay 7s costs. A boy of sixteen, who rode his bicycle at night without a light, said that he had lent his lamp to somebody. The Magistrate ordered him to pay the costs and advised him not to lend his lamp in future.
