The annual report of the AuditorGeneral referring to the Commonwealth Shipping line savs that it showed a net loss for the > r ear of £209,3(54. To this had to be added depreciation and debenture interest, making a total loss for the 3 r ear of £593,879. The amount spent on the fleet was £1,967,462 and the earnings totalled £1,531.649.
