KUMARA’S LIFEBOAT FOUND BY POLICE.
(Special to the “Star.”) WANGANUI, January 28. The name-plate of the Kumara’s lifeboat, together with other wreckage, was found by the police near the mouth of the Turakina River yesterday'. This dispels the theory that the boat drifted to .sea, and there is no doubt now that it was smashed through being bashed on the shell rock of the south mole when the tragedy occurred. There is still no trace of the body of third officer Batt\ r .
