WEDDINGS.

AFPHERSON—MILNE. St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Cashel Street, was the scene of a wedding yesterday afternoon, when May, only daughter of Air and Mrs T. Alilne, Spotswood, was married to Stanley, voungest sou of Mr J. M'Pherson. of Cashmere, and late of Cheviot.* The Rev John A’. Jacobsen, Linwood. performed the ceremony, and Mr Raynor AA'hite presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr David Alilne, wore a frock of ivory georgette, with an apron panel placed low on the skirt and bordered with a wide hem of fine lace, while at one side of the panel was a rosette of cream ribbon and georgette, and on the opposite side a looped bow. Her filmy veil of embroidered tulle was arranged from a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white hothouse flowers and fern. Aliss Ena Stevenson, niece of „thc bridegroom, attended the bride, wearing a girlish frock of blush pink figured satin with a draped overdress caught at each side with a Vnotif of quaintly shaped mauve and violet beads. The overdress 1 was bordered with leaves of the material picot edged. Her hat was made of black crinoline straw with a wide lace brim and trimmed with posies of pastel shaded flowers. She carried a bouquet of pink and mauve flowers. Air Charles Alilne, brother of the bride, was best man. A reception was held later at the AVinter Garden, where a few intimate friends and relatives were entertained. Airs Alilne wore a tailored frock of deep mole gabardine braided in black, and a smart blapk hat with an osprey mount. When Mr and Mrs M’Pherson left for their wedding tour, the .bride travelled in a pretty frock of beige marocain made with an overskirt inlet with ecru . lace, and a scaff collar with a lace hem. ITcr hat of beige fancy straw was underlined with pink, and pink flowers and ribbon streamer were used as trimming.

FOULKES—CLARKE. Aliss Dorothy Myrtle Clarke was a charming bride yesterday afternoon when her marriage with Air Frederick Foulkes took place at St Andrew’s Church. The Rev Norman AA r ebster officiated. The bridegroom is the son of Mr and Mrs Foulkes, of Christchurch. and the bride the daughter of Mrs R. Clarke and the late Air R. Clarke, Russley Road. Tier filmy veil was caught with a wreath of orange blossoms and fell in graceful folds over a gown of ivory silk marocain finely embroidered with crystal and silver beads, and she carried a shower bouquet. Two maids were in attendance, Miss Dorothy Alelhuish and Aliss Irene Clarke, wearing frocks of wistaria mauve georgette and carnation pink marocain respectively, made on simple lines, with beaded skirt, panels. Air AVilliam Foulkes, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. and Air AVilliam Clarke, brother of the bride, was groomsman. A reception was held later at Dixieland. which was artistically decorated for the occasion. AYhen Mr and Mrs Foulkes left for their wedding tour the bride travelled in an attractive navy blue gabardine frock with Chinese blue trimmings, and hat cn suite.

M KENZIE—JACK. A wedding was celebrated last evening at St Andrew’s Church, when Henrietta, only daughter of Air and Airs Henry Jack. Rosehire, Scotland, was married to Duncan, son of Mr and Airs D. AUKenzie. Scotland. The bride was given sway by ATr J. Thompson, and wore a simple, but attractive frock of palest sea-blue crepe de chine draped to one side of the low waist line. Her veil of tulle net was held with two narrow bands of orange blossom buds, and arranged in a high fan style across the back. She carried a bouquet of white flowers with touches of blue. Aliss Vera King attended the bride, wearing a frock of powder ljlue georgette made with a. finely pleated tunio bodice and skirt, and a. front panel of blue and silver brocade. A tight cap with a wide bow at the back, formed her headdress, and she carried a. bouquet of cream and pink flowers. Air Richard Watterson attended the bridegroom as best man. The Rev Norman Webster was the officiating clergyman, and Air R. K. Lake presided at the organ. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Winter Garden, where

Airs Rogers, who received the guests, wore a smartly cut frock of black marocain lightly beaded with jet and n jet ornament at one side, and a black hat. AYhen the bride and bridegroom left for their wedding tour the bride travelled in a smart costume of silver grey marocain, with hat cn suite.

DENCH—BLA'ZEY". A wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Opawa, last evening. when Grace Evelvn, second daughter of Air and Airs AA’. R. Blazey, was married to AVilliam, elder son of Air and Mrs J. Dench, of AYaimate. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a distinctive sleeveless frock of ivory satin, made with an apron panel of silver lace, and a waterfall panel at the back, arranged from hand-made roses. Her veil of tiillc fell in graceful, folds from a wreath of orange blossom buds, and she carried a bouquet of hothouse Aliss Alice Newton and Aliss Iris Sherwood attended as bridesmaids, Aliss Newton wearing a dainty frock of eau-de-nil georgette and marocain, made with a panel of ecru lace down the front, finished with a long tassel and an overskirt of the material with a wide inlet band of lace. Aliss Sherwood's frock was of the same shade in satin marocain with gold insertion let in the side panels. Each of the maids wore a bandeau across the back of her hair, made of flowers to match her frock, with light touches of gold. They carried bouquets of pink and gold roses. Air Richard Blazey was best man, and Air F. Brecon sail was groomsman. The Rev AY. H. Speers was the officiating clergyman, and Airs West presided at the organ. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Dixieland. Airs Blaieey wore a handsome frock of black jersey silk embroidered in blue, and a black hat with a deep henna osprey and flowers. She carried a bouquet of roses. When Mr and Mrs Dench left for their wedding tour the bride travelled in an oyster-grey gabardine tunic frock with Oriental trimmings and a hat to tone.
