OPENED POSTAL BAG.

MARRIED WOMAN’S ACT. Per Press Association. THAMES, June 25. A married woman with five children, whose name was ordered to be suppressed, was charged with opening a postal mail 1 ay. also with abstracting a postal packet. The bag was what is known as an “ overflow ” one and was left in accused's shop for the postman to call later and finish his deliverv. The woman broke the seals and took a parcel containing a garment. The postman's suspicions were aroused ar.d on the police taxing her the woman admitted the act. She pleaded guilty and was committed to Auckland for sentence.
