TALLY CLERKS’ DISPUTE. The indualrial dispute between .he Lyttelton -ships’ tally clerkß and their employers formed the subject of Conciliation Council proceedings this morning. The H. Good Friday, Easter Monday, I Sovereign's Birthday, Labour Day, Anniver- j sary Day. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and the day of the watt raiders’ picnic. The following were the wages asked for by overtime Is 2d an hour, work done in the. meal hours provided for in the award 5* fid an hour. For special cargoes the union asked for 2d, -id, 5d and lOd an hour extra-, according to the nature of the cargoes. The uniou further asked that each fraction of an hour worked should be paid for as if it were a full hour. The employers did not file any counter- j claims.
