“NOTHING TO HIDE.”
REFORM PARTY’S POLICY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, February 27. Discussing the policy of the Return Party at the next election, the Hoi A. D. M’Leod states that the party has nothing to hide in the matter. Every legitimate effort was beinj made to maintain stable Government The party believed that this could bes be attained by preventing the extrenn Labour Party reaching the Treasury benches, and as a. result of this no Re form support would go to any candi date who not only did not .public!; pledge himself to vote agaiiis extreme Labour on no c-onfi dence motions, but also gav a public pledge to disassociate him self with any party prepared to ac cept the assistance of extreme Labou within the House for the purpose c formning a Government. The Liberals (either as a party o as individual candidates) were appa rently not able, or willing, to giv these pledges to electors, but the Re form Party was and as a result i probably would be found necessary t run candidates prepared to give th above pledges in every electorate.
