Loudon was still fog-bound at five o'clock this morning, after thirty-six hours of continuous blanketing of the city. There was no daylight all day yesterday. Huge braziers were lighted at the Cenotaph; and acetylene flares were placed in the middle of the streets in the AVesfc End and Piccadilly. Sky signs were lighted, but business was dislocated and half the omnibuses were withdrawn. Thames shipping was entirely hold up. Two persons wore killed and twelve injured in street accidents. Criminals took advantage of the frv and several big robberies have been reported.
