GLASS WORKS AT SHOW.
An exhibition that will cause much attention at the Christchurch A and P. Show next Thursday and Friday will be the American Glass Works, where a most remarkable demonstration of spinning, weaving, knitting and blowing ol> all kinds of glassware novelties and souvenirs from the raw material to the finished article will he given. Kangaroos, lizards, walking Sticks, snakes, kiwis, vases. magpies and swans are some of the many articles made entirely of glass without the aid of moulds of any kind, by the use of a specially constructed furnace only from which is taken the molten glass. A feature of the exhibition will be the spinning of glass , on a large wheel revolving at a high rate of speed, thousands of feet in length, finer than silk and unbreakable. This will be a unique opportunity to see the glass works lit full operation.
