PRISONERS SENTENCED.

Per. Press Association. WELLINGTON. September 30 At the Supreme Court to-day Ro land George Collins, on a charge of forging and uttering a cheque, was sentenced to reformative detention for two and a half years. Robert Snowden Bush, a clerk in the Native Trust Office for defalcations amounting to £93, was sentenced to six months’ hard labour. The Chief Justice said that these cases had become too frequent in the country. The Bench had decided years fgo that probation could nofi.be given in cases where the defalcations extended over a con,fi period.
