PHYSICAL CULTURE DISPLAY.
Y.AT.C.A. GLASSES AT THEATRE ROY AT. The uses of physical culture as a means of health and happiness will he effectively demonstrated at the Theatre Royal on Monday, October 6. when the A .AI.G.A. will provide a display of 200 selected members of the various gymnasium classes. The performers have been rehearsing for months past under the supervision of Air G. Spencer Green, physical director «if the Y.AI.C.A., and there is little doubt that the display will be the best of its kind so far provided in Christchurch. Then men’s classes will demonstrate strength, speed and agility; the ladies’, grace and deportment; and the boys’ educational gymnastics and games. The programme will include demonstrations of tumbling, calisthenics. apparatus work, wand and dumbo!! exorcises, gymnastic dancing and a great, variety of animated exercises. Air AN'. Forster will lead the orchestra during the drills and exercisesThe whole proceedings -will be brightened with novel and vocal items and the TALC. A. orchestra under the baton of ATr Tf. G. Lawrence, will givo a lew selections.
