NAKED CONSTABLE’S CHASE. BLACK MURDERER CAUGHT By Telegraph—Presc Aarociatioc—O-pr.lghl Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received July 24, 10.30 a.m.) PORT DARWIN, July 24. After a chase extending over 100 miles, an aboriginal, who was committed for trial oil a charge of murder, has been captured. He had evaded capture for many months, and Constable Gilen set out after him with no provisions or swag, and accompanied by a black boy. When his clothing was worn out the constable proceeded naked, and his skin was blackened like a native’s. He finally reached the camp of tho fugitive and effected his arrest.
