Litvinoff, Foreign Commissar, had a lengthy conference with reference to the Berlin incident. The latter demanded the customary apologies, the recognition of the extra territoriality of the Foreign Mission, the punishment of those responsible for the searching of the trade delegation’s officers, and the payment of indemnity. The Russo-German railway conference, for which the German delegates have arrived, have been postponed sine die owing to the present dispute between the two Governments.
