ADDINGTON YARDS.

METROPOLITAN WEEKLY MARKET. There were again large cmiiee of stock at the metropolitan weekly market at Addington to-day. A fair-sized entry of fat lambs was forward. Tho demand waa particularly keen, and prices were even a trifle better than the good ones whicn ruled last week. There was another large entry of fat aheep, totalling twelve full races. Fat cattle were also yarded in large numbers, and at the start of the sale prices were about the same.as those of a week ago. There was a large offering of store aheep. In the early part of the sals, old ewes showed an easing of from 2s to 3s a head on late rates. Forward lambs and wether3 both sold well. FAT LAMBS. The entry of fat lambs totalled 3515 head, compared with 3130 last week. The quality of the offering was fair. The sal*, was a particularly keen one, and prices were a shade firmer than those of a week ago. Prime lambs made a full lid alb Top price, 40s 3d. was secured by Messrs S. Cox and Son (Lyndhurst), for a amah pen of four. Values were:— Extra prime lambs 38s to 40a 3d. Prime lambs 33s to 36s ed. Medium lambs 80s to 32s 6d. Light lambs 24s Od to 29a. STORE SHEEP Tho entry of store sheep was the largest seen at Addington for several weeks pa.st. The yarding included a. large number of aged ewes, but there waa also a god proportion of wethers and. lambs. Drafts were forward from Central Otago and the West Coast, the latter place being well represented iu lambs. At the start of the sale agred ewes, unless they were well conditioned, were not sought after, and prices wore as much as 2s to 3s a W J2£ W rimilar sheep brought last week.
