Pm Pmm AMoaiTiiw GISBORNE, May 13. I An inquest was held regarding the death of Arthur Malson, aged ten years, whoso body was recovered yesterday. After the evidence of de ceased’s- companion, nine years, that on May 2 they were on the Waimata, River When the canoe overturned, the Coroner said there was no evidence ©t skylarking. Death was duo to drowning. the result of, the capsize of a canoe. . He stressed the necessity of boys learning to swim before going on the river.
