GERMAN ELECTIONS.
WILL NATIONALISTS ACCEPT THE INEVITABLE? Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received May 10, 11.5 u.m.) LONDON, May 9. The Berlin correspondent of “ The Times ” says ; —“ German Nationalists ar> tardily realising that evon they cannot form a Government without co-operation with other parties. It is clear that they aro aiming at a coalition with the Centre and People’s Parties .trusting that they may enjoy the benevolent neutrality of the Democrats on the one hand and the Free dom Party on the other. “It is a precarious basis upon which to build. Even should the Nationalists come round to the view that the unreserved acceptance of the Experts’ report is the only alternative to confusion 'f 1 the Centre Party will join in on no other ternuj and ‘lie benevolent neutrality of the Democrats will not otherwise be obtainable. What the Freedom Party will do remains obscure, but popular rumour already credits it with making preparations for a Putsch.”
