FLOODS IN CENTRAL OTAGO.
Per Press Association’. DUNEDIN, January 12. The conditions in Dunedin are sultry, with a 30. v glass, and the threat of a storm. Cromwell reports that heavy rain fell during the night. The Clutha and Kawarau rivers are sixteen feet above normal and rose five feet during the night. It is still raining and there is every prospect of a. high flood. Pembroke -adyises that Lake Wanaka "is ten feet up. There, is heavy rain. Clyde similarly reports heavy rain and a nine feet : ite in the river.
