“HEALTHY WEATHER.”

HEALTH OFFICER’S COMMENT.

“ Personally, I think this is a very healthy kind of weather, with a dry heat and plenty of movement in the air,” said Dr C. H. Chesson, relieving medical officer of health, to-day, in answer to an inquiry as to whether the continued hot weather had any detrimental effect from a health viewpoint.

Emphasis was made by the doctor, however, that in weather such as this meat and food generally was only more liable to decomposition, and particular care should be exercised in the handling of food stuffs, especially should the utensils used as receptacles for milk be scrupulously clean. Another ' hint which the medical officer gives is that all milk should be scalded immediately it is received.
