LAWN TENNIS.

NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM. The members of the New South Wale, team, together with, a number of visiting players, were taken for a very pleasant motor run yesterday, in company with a good many local players, both ladies and rentlemen. From Cathedral Square the -•ars went through Fendalton and then back towards North Beach, along the beach to South Brighten, and finally on to Sumner. At Sumner the party were net by members of the Sumner Lawn i'ennis Club, who provided a delightful afternoon tea at the Bowling Club’s pavilion, which liad been lout for the occasion. Mr and Mrs B. E. H. Whitoomhe eceiverl the visitors, who were delighted with beautiful surroundings cf the green and clubhouse. Before the party returned to town Mr W N. Seay, president of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, and Mr M'Kay. *he Australian manager, thanked the Sumner players for their hospitality, and Mr Whitcombe responded. The day was beautifully f.ne. and the outing ijas enjoyed by every body. RANGIORA v. SWANNANOA. A match was played on the Rangiora courts on Saturday between the Eangiora Club's junior team and SwannaDoa. The home players won by 50 games, the scores being as follow.
