ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
GUN FATALITY. GISBORNE, December 21. . A distressing accident occurred at Pouawa, eight miles up the East Coast this afternoon, resulting in the death of John Christophers, twelve years of age. Deceased, with a brother aged seventeen years, was preparing to go shooting. As they were leaving the bedroom the elder one happened to tarn facing his brother and his gun accidentally exploded. WASHED FROM A HORSE. Per Press Association-. NEW PLYMOUTH, December 22. Th© body of Reginald O'Donnell, aged fourteen, was found in the Tongaporutu River at Kotara. The boy was missing since Wednesday. It is believed that he was washed from a horse when attempting to cross a river which was in flood.
