PRICELESS RELICS BURNT. Per Press Associatjo*--AUCKLAND. December Mr L. D. Nathan’s beautiful residence at Manurewa was destroyed by fire this morning. Tho origin of the outbreak is a complete mystery. It may have been caused bv the fusing of the electric light or irr connection, with the hot service. The building contained priceless relics of early Auckland and the purchases of Mr Nathan’s recent world tour. Mr Na-‘ than and family escaped in their night attire. The servants lost- practically everything. The buildine and contents were insured for £15,C00 in the United Office.
