The wool sales closed very firm, with competition well maintained to the finish ilerinoes hardened throughout, the best closing fully 5 per cent above the November rates. Pieces and faulties were often 10 per cent, above November rales. Greasy met with a strong market, closing 10 per cent up. Medium and low grades were £0 per cent up. Slipes were keenly competed for, with finer sorts 10 to 15 per cent dearer and shabbier 10 per cent up. For sooureds there was strong Continental demand. Fine grades were 10 per cent up and others 20 per cent. Lambs sold readily at 10 per cent up. Balcluths brought Sl*d.
