A CHRISTMAS SONG.

White was the star that burst Low in the sky; Wond’ring, the three who went Silently by. Cold was the bed they found, Helpless the Child; Yet there was mother-love When Mary smiled! Dear were the gifts they brought. Unto the Inn; But dearer far their hearts, Worshipping Him 1 There is no star to guide Us where He lies; No smile like that that once Lit Mary's eyes. Cradle and Child are gone; And the wise men— We hax-e no gifts like they Brought to Him then! Yet all we have we bring— Hearts worship high— This is the myrrh we give As we go by! —UNA CURRIE.
