BLOOD TRANSFUSION AT ASHBURTON.
Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, December 21. The County Council to-day expressed | deep appreciation of the county engin eer, Mr C. F. Dyer, in permitting twenty ounces of his blood to be trans ; fused into the county clerk. Mr G. j Kelly, whose life was in great danger, i Mr Dyer’s sacrifice made an urgent ; operation possible, and Mr Kelly is now ! recovering.
