SWIMMING.
EAST CHEISTCHURCH CLUB. A meeting of tho committee of tho East Christchurch Swimming; Club was held at the East Christchurch School yesterday, Kr V'. Harvey presiding over a large attendance. . Accounts to the amount of £lB <s 9d were passed for payment. Twenty-four new members were elected. Tlie secretary reported that the arrangements in connection with the concert to be held at the East Christchurch School were well in hand, also for the annual carnival to be held at the Tepid Baths *n January. Tho New Brighton Surf Club was granted permission to hold the Wigram Bose Bowl competition iu tho scfcjool bathe later in the eeason.
