GOVERNMENT POLICY CONDEMNED. CARTF.RTOX, December 11. Mr F. Langstone. the Labour M.P. for Waimaaino. addressed a. meeting here last night.fl He condemned the Government policy and advocated the abolition of freehold and leasehold land tenure, substituting security of tenure, by which a man, once on, could not l>o put off the land. He objected to the extravagant methods of the Government in raising loans in London, and urged the establishment of a State Bank. He advocated proportional representation and condemned the expenditure of .£'500,000 on the Singapore base, urging that the amount would be better spent on propaganda of peaceful ideals-
