GAS ESCAPE IN MINE.
* MINERS FIGHTING THE TROUBLE. By Telegraph— Frees-Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received November 8. 12.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 8. A gas escape in the South mine is regarded seriously. The miners are strenuously endeavouring to cope with the trouble. The shift which shoulu have ended at three yesterday was compelled to snatch a hasty snack in order to return to the fight.
