♦ PROPOSAL TO LINK UP WITH BRITAIN. Pur Pkess Association. WELLINGTON, November 6. A proposal was made by Mr T. F. Roberts, past president of the Wellington Rotary Club, at to-day’s luncheon, that the movement in New Zealand should become linked up with that in England. " I don’t propose that we should break away from international organisation.” he said, “but if there ip such a. body in existence as an association of British Rotary Clubs, 1 think we should he allowed the privi- , lege of at least becoming honorary members.” He would see what he could do to that end while he was in I England as New Zealand Commissioner !at the Empire Exhibition. “We want- • j to show people in England.’’ be dei dared. “ that in racial ties wo are. ! just as close to England as the Isle of . Wight.” The president of the club (Mr C. C. 1 Odlin) said that he hoped to see Mr Roberta leave New Zealand as official I representative of the Rotary Club so 1 that he could represent the Dominion at the British Convention to he held next year, and attend the various club functions as an official messenger . from this country.
