WEDDINGS.

LINA—HEAD. A wedding took place at St Alary’s, Alerivale, recently, when A'iolet Olive, youngest daughter of Mrs A. Head, of Lowestoft, Stiff ok, England, was marvied to Heimi, ninth son of Airs F. Lina, of Nino Island. Archdeacon Haggitt performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Air AY. Howell, of Christchurch, was •daintily attired in ivory satin, the side panel edged with fur, caught at, the waist with a handsome silver rosette hung with tiny silver bells. A hat ot ivory antin', trimmed with silver lace, completed her toilette. She also carried a sheaf of lilies, and was attended by Aliss Al. Al’Grath. of ( hristehurch. who wove a dress of delicate pink satin, with an overdress of pink lace, with which was worn a girdle of French fruit. Her hat was a grey crinoline trimmed with pink satin and a spray of fruit. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and asters'. The best man was Air Reg Tliaokwcll*. M’ BAIN—FOSTER. St David's Piesb.yterian Church was recently the scene of a wedding, when Alary, third daughter of Mr C. G. Foster, of Christchurch, was married to John Pairmau, son of Mr aid Mrs M’Bain, of Scotland. J'he Rev N. L. NVobster performed tjio i«remcny, and the organist was Airs AA'eJls. J he bride, who was given away bv her father, wore a graceful frock of •silver grey niorocaiii, with softly draped overskirt and vide sleeves of radium lore. The bodice was ham! soiiicly embroidered with pink beads, and a tiny cavalier cape of Paislev satin fell from the shoulders. A hat of silver tissue, trimmed with pink rosebuds, end a shower bouquet of cream and pink tinted flowers completed the hi idal toilette. J lie bridesmaids were Alisses Eva Foster, sister of the bride, and Eileen Oliver, a niece. Aliss Foster's frock of beige gaberdine was prettily beaded in pink and silver, aid she wore a blue tulle hat lined with pink, and ornamented witli a posy of French floweig. Aliss Oliver was dressed in kingfisher blue gaberdine, finished with Oriental embroideries, and a becoming ninon lint lined with blue. Both bridesmaids carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. Little Jean Foster, niece of the bride, and Dorothy Glass, niece of the bridegroom, were flower girls, and looked dainty in cream net mounted on pastel blue .silk, and trimmed with ruffles of lace and blue ribbons. Oircets of pale blue rosebuds were -worn in their hair, and they carried posies of pastel shaded flowers. The best man wa s Air L. Doig, and Air Fred Foster was groomsman. A reception and dance was afterwards held at St Saviour’s Hall, which was decorated with coloured streamers, a wedding bell being suspended over the bridal group. The guests, who numbered about a hundred, were received by Airs AN . J. Oliver, a sister of the bride, who wore navv blue, patterned with scarlet and jet beads, and a satin bat encircled with flowers. She also carried a bouquet of scarlet anemones. Her wide hat was of fawn satin, with tiny flowers of blue and gold defining the upturned brim. T RITT—At ER RETT. A wedding was celebrated at St Alartin’s Church. Spreydon, recently, when Stella, eldest daughter of Airs and the late Air S. R. Aferrett, of Sprevdon, was married to AA'illiam Charles' son of Mr and Airs Tritt, of Cust. The church, was prettily decorated with flowers and the ceremony was performed by the Rev C C.' Oldham, assisted by the Rev E. N. Blakistom of j Rakaia. The bride, who was given a wav hv her"""brother, Mr Donald Aferrett. wore a frock of amber eolienne and a hat of amber georgette to match. She was attended by her sister. Aliss Mabel Aferrett, as bridesmaid, who was attired in a becoming frock of mauve satin niorocain with hat to match. Both bride and bridesmaid carried bouquets to tone with their frocks. After the breakfast the usual toasts were honoured.
