A pleasant social evening was held last Saturday at the residence of Mr Owen M’Gough. Lansdowne, Halswell, in aid of St Mary’s bazaar. The evening took the form of a. sweets ’ evening. Miss Ruddy, who acted as hostess, wore a mole panne velvet frock beautifully beaded. Dancing and games were'indulged in . the music for the dancing being supplied by Mrs Barson (piano) and Mr \Vhite (violin)Kxtras wore piayed by Miss Narby, and songs were given by Miss’Ruddy and Miss Walsh, and by Messrs Thompson. Walsh and Narby. A collection was taken up during the evening in aid of the- bazaar funds and was liberally responded to bv the guests. Those present were -Mesdamec R. Barson. M ?
