WEDDING.

HENEY—S KII /LING. A wedding was celebrated at s*t John’s Church, Rangiora, yesterday afternoon, the bride being Alice,

daughter ’of Mr and' Mrs J. Skilling. Rangiora, and the bridegroom Mr Gilbert Heney, fourth son of Mr and Mrs T. Heney, Rangiora. The church was artistically decorated with arum lilies and white broom, a wedding boll of lilac being suspended over the bridal party. The service was conducted by the Rev J. F. Feron, and Mr J. C. Thompson presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a gown of oyster white georgette 'heavily brocaded with silver, made on long straight lines over an underdress of plain georgette finished at the sides with silver tissue and cord ornaments- The soft falling sleeves were caught with silver roses. The long court train, suspended from the shoulders, was of brocaded georgette lined with softly ruched georgette to tone, and a tulle veil with inset corners of fine lace was held to the head with a wreath of orange blossom. Silver shoes and stockings completed a charming toilette. The bride corned a sheaf of arum lilies. Miss Myra Cudby was maid of honour, apd wore a handsome dress of old gold morocain. with an overdress of gold [ace, finished at the waist with gold tissue. She also wore a hat of gold lace with almond green streamers, and gold shoes and stockings. Two little train bearers, Nanev Heney, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Heney. and Shirley Shankland. daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Shankland. made a. dainty picture in their frocks of almond green georgette, made with long waisted bodices and tiny petalled skirts, finished with trails of various coloured flowers, little green tulle caps finished with flowers to match, and gold shoes and stocking®. Mr Langton Leech, Rangiora, carried out the duties of best man.. After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Skilling entertained their guests at a reception in the Masonic refectory. The hostess wore a frock of stone grey morocain draped with black Ohantilly 1-ce, a hat of black lac.o with large jot ornament, and black marabout stole. When Mr and Mrs G- Heney left on their wedding tour the bride wore a frock of fawn georgette and lace, n wrap coat of tnbae braided mor-cnni, and chic little toque of gold and Oriental tissue with small black osprey.
