MINING TROUBLE.

CONFERENCE TO-MORROW. A conference of representatives of the coal mine owners and the Miners’ Unipn is to lie held at Reef ton to-mor-row to discuss the present mining trouble on the West Coast- It is hoped that as a result of this conference a settlement will be reached. It is understood that the conference is to discuss the terms of a new award. The Hon G. J. Anderson, Minister of Labour, who left for the Coast by the express this morning will probably act as chairman of the conference.
