HEAVY DAMAGE.
LOSS IN JAPANESE CITIES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Special to the Australian Press Association.) (Received October 23, 12,20 p-m.) TDK TO, October 22. Baron Goto. Minister of Home ’Affairs said, that no one can estimte the losses of property in the devastated districts. The" Japanese people who were covered by insurance have lodged claims in Tokio alone for £200,000,000, and this represents from one-tenth to onetwentieth only of the total loss, thus the loss in Tolcio alone must be more than two billion pounds. The damage in Yokohama and other places could not be compared with this, heayy though it was.
