MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. (Before Mr H. J. Seagar. J.P. and Mr F. H. Fulloek. J.P.;) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender was convicfed and discharged. George King, a second offender, waa convicted and discharged, Alfred James Massev. a third offender, was fined 20s. in default twentyfour hours’ imprisonment. JUST A LARK. Jack Flynn, aged twenty-two. and Patrick Clark, thirty-five, were jointly charged with creating a breach of the peace in. Lichfield Street on Saturday. They pleaded not guilty. Constable J. Patterson said that h« saw the two men fighting on Saturday. Flynn was sober but the other man was nbt-. He saw Flynn knock Clark down, and it seemed as if Clark was defending himself. Flynn explained that the affair was nothing more than a bit of “ skylarking.” v The accused werfc each fined £2 jrf default forty-eight hours’ imprisonment.
