WIDOW’S SAD CIRCUMSTANCES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney “ Sun ” Cable (Received October 22. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, October 21. Lady Dimsdale, the widow of Sir John Dimsdale, who shot himself in a. churchyard at Whit-stable in April, was remanded at Canterbury on a charge of attempting suicide. She had given herself into custody, saying that she had three times walk ed into the sea, but had failed to di-own as the waves washed her back. She had no friends in the world, and she wished she had her husband’s pistol to “ do the job properly.” The police gave evidence that a resident had tound he r wandering and gace her a bed. She climbed out of the window. She had. been working at a hotel in Switzerland, but wap depressed because she had not sufficient money to buy decent clothes with.
