SOUTH TAIERI BADLY FLOODED. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 14. The water on the Outran) railway line is so deep that only the tops of the telegraph poles alongside can be seen. All the South Taieri is deeply reflooded, only the tops of stacks showing. The flood is worst at Otokia and Allanton, where weak spots on the Taieri banks were badly breached. At Henley boats are being used to provision houses or rescue inmates.

This morning the Awhiro and the Si] verst ream had fallen and Mosgiel’s danger is over. The whole Taieri is a panorama of ruin and desolation.
