A BIG PROPOSITION. “We have a problem there,” said an officer of the Railway Department ■when questioned as to the prospects of the repair work on* the Midland line The second big break that beyond No 9 tunnel, he said—had complicated the position. It would be a very difficult break to deal with, and they did not know yet quite what the position is. No estimate of the damage to the Mid land line can be made, though it is known that it is very great.
