The Northern coal Owners wil! meet on Monday to discuss the question of introducing voluntary labour in the idle mines. Tt is estimated that since the .Mait - land pits closed, the emnknees have lost nearly £250.000 in wagfs. Another south coast pit the Metropolitan enmloving 600 men. has been rendered idle. Southern owners have issued an ultimatum stating that unless the idle mines resume immediately, the conference with the Miners’ Federation fixed for to-morrow will be abandoned
