THE DAVIS CUP.

A QUESTION OF COURTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received May 10, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY. May 10. America and Hawaii have cabled to Australia asking that the match against Hawaii should be played there (at Hawaii). Australia is opposed to the request on account of the fortnight's delay entailed in breaking the journey, and also because Anderson is not used to asphalt courts, which would necessitate a change in strokes. Tli is also contended that by playing in America the Australians would have the opportunity to practise on grass courts. The draw for the first round is Australia v. Hawaii and Canada v. r Tauan. There is no bye, as was previously' annoimcea.
