A very enjoyable evening was spent recently in the Durham Street South Schoolroom, by the friends of Miss Mona Tarpey, at a party given in honour of her coming of age, hv the Rev Mr and Mrs Harris and Mr G. Kitchens. Miss Tarpey wore a dainty frock of white crepe de chine embroidered with pearls, with mauve ribbons at the waist. Items were given by Miss Harris, Messrs Laine and Ayling, and Master Jim AVicks. Among those present were: —Mesdames Harris, Pearce, Wicks, Cook, M’Cullough, Misses Tarpey (4), Hyde (2), Hutton. Harris, Fairbrass (2), Coull, Bradshaw. Macdonald Eastwood, Wright, Morrow, Archbold, Millar, M’Nulty, Messrs Harris (2), Hitchens (2), Laine, Gray, Ayling, Loadley, AVicks (2), M’Nulty, Hunter (2).
