March 1; Waimate Racing Club, March 20: Cheviot Racing Club, March 22; Amberley Racing Club, April 5; iiororata Racing Club, April 12; Canterbury Jockey Club, April 21, 22; South Canterbury Jockey Club, May 2.3; Ashburton County Raci ig Club, May 9, 10; Brackentield Hunt-, Juno 21; South Canterbury Hunt, July 19; Wm mat© District Hunt, July 24; Christchurco Hunt, July 26. Albert Lansdovrn'i application for a trainer’s license was held over. The application of A. S. Lansdown for a jockey's lioenso was not recommended. N. C. Gray's application for a jockey a license was held over. The following transfers were approved: W. R. Kcmball to B. Burgess, Bonomel; W. F. Desha- to G. Murfitt, Kaahumanu. The following report of the Programme Committee was approved : GRAND NATIONAL MEETING, 1923. First Day. Tally-Ho Steeplechase to be withdrawn. Hunters' Hurdles to be first race on the the first day. Cashmere Plate (new race, to be third race on the first day), of 300 sovs; second to receive 6b sove and the third 30 aovs from the stake. For horses that., at time of nomination, have never won a race of the value of 100 sovs. Three-year-olds 9it. four-year-olds and upwards 3.ost. No allow-? ances. Entrance l sov. Acceptance 2 aovs. Six fuislonge. Jumpers’ Flat. Handicap, stakes to be in creased from 250 sovs to 300 sovs. New Zealand Grand National Steeplechase, stakes to bo increased from 2150 sovs to 2200 sovs (a- cup value of 100 sovs and 2100 sovs in specie). Second Day. Hunt Club Cup and Woolston Handicap to be transposed. Third Day. Hurdles to be withdrawn and the following new race substituted:— Longbeach High-weight Handicap, of 203 sovs: second 40 sovs and third 20 sovs our of the stake- For horses that, at time of nomination, have actor won a flat race o! the value of 150 sovs. Minimum weight lost- 121 b. Gentlemen riders only. The rider of the winner to receive a trophv vnh-e 30 sovs. Nine ftirlongs on the flat Entrance 1 spv. Acceptance 1 sov. The increase ; n will therefore £250. making a total of £13.000 to be distributed during the meeting. SUMMER MEETING, 1924. Middle Park Plate—This race to be retained on the programme of the summer meeting and re-cast on the following lines: —Of 400 sovs, second to receive 80 sovs arid third 40 sovs out of the stake. For two-year-olds and upwards. Two-year-olds 7st 41b, three-year-olds Bst 91b. four-year-olds and upwards 9st. Fillies allowed 31 ! > The winner of any race or races since August 1. 1923. of the collective value of 200 sovs to carry slb; 300 sovs, 71b; 500 sovs, 101 b extra- Six furlongs.
