ADDINGTON YARDS.

METROPOLITAN WEEKLY MARKET. TO-DAY’S SALE. There were average-sized yardings ~f stock at the metropolitan weekly market at Addington to-day. Good fat lambs met with a fairly brisk dmand and sold . t about last week’s rates, but lighter sorts were easier. There was another large entry of fat cattle. beef sold well, and at the start- of the efele prices for this class were better than those ruling la-M week. Inferior beef, however, was a vain very cheap. A comparatively small entry of store sheen met with a brisk demand, and the market had a rising tendency. The entrv of fat sheen was a- small one, filling only eight races. FAT LAMBS. The entry of fat- lainbs totalled 28C0 head compared with 1620 last week. There were several lots of nicely-finished lambs forward, but there, were also a good many unfinished sorts which would have been better in the store pens. As more freezing buyers were operating, the competition r «-r sood lambs was somewhat better than lastweek, but there was no appreciable change in price. For rood lambs the exporters naid from 9d to 9jd a lb. Lighter sorts did not meet with much competition, and thev showed an easing on late rates. The bulk of tho entry was bought by tin freezers.
