When the Irish envoys had just commenced an open air meeting at Waverl9y last night, the police intervened and arrested them both, and also John Clancy, a collector, on a charge of inciting sedition on April 22, and ether days. The accused were released on bail of £3OO each.

An angry crowd followed the arrested men to the pclice station. The crowd sang Republican‘songs, and sported Sinn Fein flags or! a motor oar. Subsequently, the crowd dispersed without further incident.
