IRISH ENVOYS ARRESTED.
CHARGE OF INCITING SEDITION. ANGRY CROWD FOLLOWS TO POLICE STATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and !N.Z. Cable Assn, (Received May 1, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 1. When the Irish envoys had just commenced an open air meeting at Waverl9y last night, the police intervened and arrested them both, and also John Clancy, a collector, on a charge of inciting sedition on April 22, and ether days. The accused were released on bail of £3OO each.
An angry crowd followed the arrested men to the pclice station. The crowd sang Republican‘songs, and sported Sinn Fein flags or! a motor oar. Subsequently, the crowd dispersed without further incident.
