Mr A. E. Steere has been nominated by Messrs A. D. Ford (Mayor of Rincarton) and G. A. Rankin as a candidate to represent the combined districts of Waimairi and Rieearton on the Xorth Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. Mr Rteere has been councillor of the borough of Riccarton during the last eight years, and was recently reelected for a further term of two years. He is Deputv-Mavor o” the borough and is also the counoil’s representative on the Canterbury Progress League. The election takes place on May 9.
