TO-DAY’S GAMES. The second round of matches was played to-day. The grounds were heavy but the weather fine. SELWYN V. ST ALBANS. Selwyn Goal, T. STCaffey; Wki. H. Grose, L. Kilioh: halves. A. Beiwyn were early on the attack, and Mahoney i transferred across t,o Squires who centred hard to the goal mouth. Selwyn came again. Hore centring across, but again Faulkner cleared. Hale returned at this stage, and 1 Selwyn vsignalised his return by rushing play into St Albans’ circle, where S. j Bell scored with a hot shot- Selwyn ! kept up a determined attack, and t • ner gave a great display in goal. Bt Albans broke away and a misfleld by Grose gave Woodtteld a chance which M'Caffey saved, and Selwyn gained possession ouce more, and from a passing rush between Squires. W. Bell and S. Bell. W. Beil scored easily. A spell of midfield play followed until M. Hill passed to S. Bell, who put in a solo run, and, beating the goalkeeper, scored easily. St Albans gained possession, but Grose cleared in the circle and play was again transferred to the St Albane circle, where M'Faxdane cleared to Hill, who centred to Hale, the latter's shot being affected by M’Caffey, and a corner, resulted. f >fSelwyn 4, Bt Albans 0. The second spell opened with an exchange of resultless attacks. A pretty passing bout her ween Holland ana Hill carried play to Selwyn’s circle, where Hore effected a save. Selwyn took charge and a hot shot by Hill was well stopped by Faulkner. Woodfield and Holland carried play into Selwyn’s circle, the former opening the score. Then Hole , gained possession and the Selwyn circle ; was invaded. T ’. Hill had a shot from i an acute angle, but missed.
