DECISION OF EXECUTIVE. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, April I‘2. A meeting of the 1 Executive Council was held by the Governor-General tins morning to determine Dually whether the death sentence on John Tuhi' for th murder of Herbert Henry Knight should be carried into effect. At a full meeting of Cabinet held in Wellington recently, after careful consideration of the J udge’s report- on the evidence, it was decided that Cabinet could find no reason why the sentence should not be carried into effect. At this morning’s Executive meeting Viscount .Tellicoe concurred in the advice tendered him by Cabinet, and it was accordingly determined that tho sentence should he carried into effect.
