Mr Baldwin moved the closure, amidst tremendous uproar from the Labour benches, which Mr Ramsay Macdonald was unable to quell. The Speaker then declared the motion carried, an 1 the Labourites, singing “ The Red J lag,” refused to allow business io proceed, so the sitting was suspended for an hour.
