The Washington correspondent of the United Press Association learns that Mr Hughes is seriously considering the withdrawal of the recognition of China due to China’s failure to comply with the United" .States’ repeated demands that the Government should punish the stayers of the American merchant, Mr Coltman, in December. Mr Charles Coltman died from wounds inflicted by Chinese bandits, who fired on his motor.
