WRECK FEARED.

FATE OF “ LOTTIE BENNETT.” (Per Press Association?.) WELLINGTON. April 9. The Marine Department has received advice to the effect that a board with the words Lottie Bennett " chiselled on it has been picked upon the Makara beach. The board is painted and appears to have come off the stern of a vessel. At present there are no further details, but the Marine Department is awaiting a full report. The four-masted schooner Lottie Bennett, 496 tons, sailed from Wanganui on March 4 for Suva after discharging a cargo of timber at Wanganui from Vancouver.
