The Prime Minister has accepted the resignation of Major J. W. Hills, Financial Secretary to the Treasury. Major Hills was defeated at the general election in November for Durham City Division. He unsuccessfully contested the by-election for the Edgelvill (Liverpool) seat, hut was defeated by Mr 3. H. Hayes (Labour). His resignation follows as the result of his defeat.
